In order to achieve the greatest possible passenger benefit, OÖ Verkehrsverbund Organisations GmbH Nfg & CO KG, as an authority within the meaning of Article 3 (2) of Regulation (EC) 1370/2007 in the version of Regulation (EU) 2016/2338, obliges railway undertakings that offer long-distance passenger rail services with several stops within the network area of the Upper Austrian Transport Association to transport passengers on these long-distance passenger rail services within the network area at the tariff conditions of the Upper Austrian Transport Association. For this purpose, OÖ Verkehrsverbund Organisations GmbH Nfg & CO KG concludes identical contracts with such rail transport companies and grants compensation if necessary.
