The job ticket, also known as a public transport ticket in its current form, is an important contribution to climate-friendly mobility and a real employee benefit for your company.

As an employer, you can provide your employees with weekly and monthly tickets as well as the KlimaTicket OÖ for public transport. The prerequisite is that this ticket is valid at least at the place of residence or work. Neither employers nor employees have to pay income tax, ancillary wage costs or social security contributions.

The cost of the ticket can also be coveredtax-free. As an employer, you can therefore reimburse the cost of the ticket in full or in part. Employees can order the tickets themselves and submit the invoice to you so that you can add it to their payroll account as proof.

Since 2023, the commuter allowance (in accordance with the Tax Amendment Act 2022) will only be reducedby the value of the public transport ticket (e.g. KlimaTicket Upper Austria). The commuter allowance will not be completely cancelled.

The gross-net calculator can be used to calculate the reduction in the commuter allowance if the employer makes an additional payment.
