As OÖ Verkehrsverbund-Organisations Gesellschaft (OÖVG), we are the coordinator, mediator, networker and contact for all public transport in Upper Austria as well as the responsible designer and client for the regional public transport services (regional buses, regional and local railways) in the province.
Our statutory task is to provide the population of Upper Austria with a high-quality regional public transport service that meets their needs in terms of quality and quantity. In line with our commitment to the common good, we focus on the best possible fulfilment of the mobility needs of all Upper Austrians.
We plan, design and orderregional public transport, which is implemented by the transport companies (e.g. ÖBB, Stern & Hafferl, Postbus, Sabtours, WWT, and many others) according to the criteria we specify. Our comprehensive quality management system ensures that our high standards - from transport services, the quality of the means of transport and modern distribution systems through to passenger and customer information - are standardised for all regional public transport in Upper Austria. We also work closely with our partners LINZ AG LINIEN, Stadtbetriebe Steyr, Wels Linien, ÖBB (long-distance transport) and WESTbahn in the cities of Linz, Wels and Steyr as well as in long-distance passenger rail transport.
We are committed to the ongoing development of climate-friendly mobility in Upper Austria. This includes the demand-orientated qualitative and quantitative further development of services and providing new impetus for the acceleration of public transport in conurbations. We are thus increasing the quality of life and economic power in Upper Austria.
With a visionary view of the mobility of the future, we are striving for the greatest possible freedom of mobility for the people of Upper Austria by combining and networking environmentally friendly forms of mobility, multimodal mobility and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS).
The cooperative and legally prescribed association of transport companies in Upper Austria under our management coordination is represented externally to the market, the public and customers by the strong OÖ Verkehrsverbund (OÖVV) brand.
As an intermediary and networker, we use a modern, digital sales system to ensure uniform and consistent fares for all public transport and all means of public transport in Upper Austria for all network partners and across all channels. We guarantee the best possible coordinated timetable offer and a range of OÖVV tickets tailored to the needs of our customers, which are valid for all means of public transport from the beginning to the end of a journey within the Upper Austrian network area.
As the central point of contact for public transport in Upper Austria, we act quickly and in a customer- and solution-orientated manner. We provide our customers with all important information in an easily accessible and clear multimedia format and pursue high quality standards in customer service.
We deliver added value to society as a provider of expertise in mobility and public transport. It is our task, mission and passion to motivate and raise awareness of environmentally friendly forms of mobility. In doing so, we increase their use, reduce congestion and make a significant contribution to the mobility transition and the achievement of environmental and climate targets. With our committed activities in this direction, we are supporting the forward-looking mobility initiative of the province of Upper Austria - MOBIL ANS ZIEL.
