Mobility is diverse. That's why there are a variety of ticket options for public transport in Upper Austria to meet different mobility needs: Single tickets, season tickets or special fare products such as the KlimaTicket OÖ or the Freizeit-Ticket OÖ. There are also special tickets for school pupils and apprentices.
Tickets are available at numerous points of sale, for example in the OÖVV ticket app, at ticket counters or in various customer offices.
Your ticket for one journey on a selected route.
Route-based single tickets are also available as multi-journey tickets for journeys within individual zones*. The tickets have strips for the individual journeys and must be validated at the validators provided before starting the journey. If no validator is available, the date and time will be entered by hand in the space provided on the ticket by the ticket staff or, in the ÖBB area, by the passenger themselves before the start of the journey. After a fare adjustment, multiple-journey tickets must be used up within three months.

Route-related single tickets can also be issued for a later start of validity, but no more than six months in advance (currently not possible at all sales outlets), stating the date and time of departure. The ticket is then valid for a single journey from the date and time of travel shown on the ticket. It is not necessary to validate these tickets again.

Route-based season tickets are generally transferable, with the exception of student/apprentice tickets. However, it is not permitted to transfer route-related weekly and monthly tickets in connection with a change of work shift. If route-related weekly or monthly travelcards are passed on in this way, they are invalid and will be confiscated without reimbursement.
Route-related day tickets, weekly and monthly tickets for regional transport can also be issued for a later period of validity, but no more than one month in advance (pre-dating). These tickets do not need to be cancelled again.

In Upper Austria, the OÖVV fares apply to all lines of all local and regional public transport companies. The network area covers the entire province of Upper Austria* and is divided into regional zones and the three core zones of Linz, Wels and Steyr. The fares are based on the number of zones travelled through according to the zoning plan. Separate fares apply for the core zones (core zone fares and surcharges).
*The area of validity can also cross the borders of the federal states.
