As part of the reallocation of Upper Austrian regional bus services in the Eastern Mühlviertel & Danube Region/Perg region, numerous optimisations, frequency increases and service expansions were implemented with the timetable change on 1 August. To implement the new and expanded transport concept, the transport companies commissioned ordered 54 new state-of-the-art buses in good time. Due to delays in delivery, some replacement buses are being used for the time being.
For these reasons, replacement vehicles rented by the transport companies will be used along various routes in the Danube region/Perg award area from the start of school (9 September 2024) until further notice, which is why vehicles that do not meet the current design and full standards of the OÖVV regional buses will also be on the road in the region for the time being.
The swift action of the contracted transport companies ensures that passengers are transported reliably despite delivery delays. The required capacities, ticket sales and real-time data recording are also guaranteed. In some cases, however, passengers will have to do without Wi-Fi and card payment on the replacement buses for the time being. The transport companies in charge and the Upper Austrian Transport Association ask passengers for their understanding and are working hard to find a quick solution.
