The new concept comprises four lines and brings with it numerous optimisations that ensure better coverage of the municipal area. Smaller and more manoeuvrable vehicles enable a more flexible and efficient service in the city. In addition, six of the eight new buses will be electrically powered, which represents an important step towards even more climate-friendly and sustainable mobility. In addition, connectivity and accessibility will be improved. New areas such as (Alt-) St. Martin will be opened up, and three of the four lines will run to the Traun junction. Two thirds of the operation will be financed by the city of Traun and one third by the province of Upper Austria. Wilhelm Welser Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH was awarded the contract for the new operation from 15 December 2025.
