The new regional bus transport concept comprises a total of around 2.62 million timetabled kilometres per year. The existing timetable offer will thus be expanded and optimised by almost 275,000 additional timetable kilometres per year. This corresponds to an increase of around 11 per cent. Passengers will benefit from increased frequency, longer operating times, more services along the main lines and new direct services. In future, 54 new, modern buses will be in operation on the 31 routes connecting six districts and 47 municipalities in Upper and Lower Austria.
The new regional bus concept for the eastern Mühlviertel and Danube region at a glance:
