Various regional bus routes take you to the bus stop "Schlierbach/Krems Ortsmitte". From there, you still have a kilometre-long walk ahead of you to Schlierbach Abbey. In the monastery you will find the organic monastery cheese dairy.
The famous Schlierbach cheese has been produced in the cheese dairy for around 100 years. Every year, 1,300 tonnes of cheese are produced here and in 2012 the entire production was converted to organic.
