ÖBB calculates the compensation as specified in the General Terms and Conditions of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment and Energy.
Example of theClimate Ticket Ö:The Federal Ministry has defined a rail share of the KlimaTicket Ö price (compensation is only payable for railways, price shares for inner-city transport and bus transport are deducted). Currently it is approx. € 494 = annual compensation basis. One twelfth of this = monthly basis, 10% of which is ~ € 4.00.
Example from theUpper Austria climate ticket:The same procedure applies here. The railway share of ÖBB in Upper Austria is 31.03% (local and long-distance transport share). Since the price shares for inner-city transport and bus transport are also deducted here, € 113.26 is taken from the purchase price of € 365.00 as the basis for compensation.
| It should also be noted that since the changeover to the KlimaTicket, the punctuality value of the (transport) network is calculated and not of a certain route as is the case with annual tickets. |
| Please note: The calculation and payment of the delay compensation is carried out by the railway companies and can only be granted for fully used tickets (12 months) after expiry of validity. |
